There are all kinds of damage from a Wind Storm.

I know most people think of a wind storm and they think the damage is , trees down, shutters flying off the house etc. But all kinds of damage can happen in a wind storm depending on what time of year it occurs .  What most people don't think about is that a wind storm can also classified as  "long periods of sustained winds".

Pair the long periods of sustained winds with freezing temperature and you can have what happened to this classroom. The winds were blowing in the roof, to the pipes, and caused them to bust. 

When you experience long periods of cold and winds combined you should take precautions so that your pipes do not freeze. 

It might be as simple as keeping a faucet dripping during the wind storm. 

Old man winter can blow some cold wind storms. Be ready.
